Middle Wisconsin General Assembly Meeting
Wednesday, Nov 16, 7 pm – 9 pm
UWMC — Arhnsbrock Room, Rm 182 (use Garfield St entrance)
Thank you if you made it to our first General Assembly. There was a lot of energy, skills, and potential. I am really excited about the differences we can make together to achieve our objectives:
1. Education on Progressive political issues, candidates, and events relevant to our local and state community
2. Coordinate with other organizations, including the Walker/Galloway recall and training
3. Provide an outlet for community discussion and action
Invited to attend this event are other organizers from around the state to discuss messaging around the recall. Please come prepared to contribute an answer to the question from someone who is undecided, “Why should I sign this?”… and remember, you only have their attention for 30 seconds or less!
We have several other important initiatives to discuss including efforts and events around the recalls, outreach to the Hmong community, and hosting a “Healthcare Forum” with Citizen Action that could dovetail nicely with the recall of Galloway.
When you come, we will ask you to sign in with contact information, donate $1 to the kitty (to pay for the use of the room-this can certainly be waived if it is a problem), and be prepared to introduce yourself to the group.
Finally, the purpose for this restructuring is to reach out to more people. We are only as strong as the energy, initiative, and skills of our people. If you are interested in learning more about us or would like an outlet for action, please come. I look forward to seeing you there, please contact Mandy Wright at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
